  • Hello! My name is Jone and I am 18 years old. I am from the Basque Country, a little autonomy in the north of Spain.

    I like traveling and living new experiences, that’s why I spent a month in Kenya this summer working as a volunteer in a school and a orphanage. I was in Kenya when I decided to live abroad before going to the university and I decide to come here, next year I will surely study a double degree in psychology and pedagogy.

    I like living in Poland, the colorful houses, pierogi’s… But what I like the most is that the history of this country is very similar to Basque history.

    • Summer camp
      After clossing the school with the beautiful ceremony we started working everyday in the common room with the children that come to the school, everyday we make different workshops and all of them are from a different field so that we all enjoy our stay in the school.
    • Training in Toruń

    • First spring day
      It was a very intense day full of many different activities. We had a workshop where the children decorated their faces with spring motifs like flowers and rainbows.     • Scouts founders day
      We talked about nature and about the importance of it, the children drew volcanoes, trees, rivers, mountains … to become aware of nature.
    • Carnaval day
      We celebrated the carnival in disguise, there were many original and beautiful costumes. We made different games to celebrate the occasion.
    • Warsaw trainning
      On this occasion I spent a week in the capital of Poland, in a volunteers training. I shared this experience with other twenty-two volunteers from nine different countries, and each one volunteered in a different field.     • Christmas workshop
      A few days before Christmas we were involved in a Christmas atmosphere in the school, between singing Christmas carols and decorating the classrooms we had the chance to have a Christmas workshop where the children made and decorated beautiful angels to complete the Christmas ornaments.
    • Carnival decoration
      We decorate the school with the theme of the carnival, for this, we cut masks of all colors and decorate them with drawings, glitter, different types and shapes of beads … all of different colors to give an even more cheerful look to the school and the carnival
    • Grandparents day
      This day  we elaborated with tempera some portraits of the grandparents as an original gift, the children were very concentrated trying to portray their grandparents .
    • Getting ready for Christmas
      A few days before Christmas we were involved in a  Christmas atmosphere in the school, between singing Christmas carols and decorating the classrooms we had the chance to have a Christmas workshop where the children made and decorated beautiful angels to complete the Christmas ornaments.
    • Basque Day
